I am a biologist, holding a master’s degree and currently a PhD candidate in Natural Resources and Ecology at UFSCar, with over ten years of experience in field studies, monitoring, and bird surveys. I work at the interface of scientific research, conservation, and environmental education.
I contributed to the discovery of the Sururina-da-serra (Tinamus resonans), a new species described in the Amazon — an important milestone in my career as an ornithologist. I also give lectures, workshops, and birdwatching experiences, bringing diverse audiences closer to nature and promoting environmental awareness.
As an environmental consultant, I carry out monitoring, diagnostics, and avifauna surveys, and work with forest certification (FSC®), environmental impact assessments, licensing, and carbon offset projects (REDD+). I have training in people and project management, with experience coordinating field campaigns and teams.
I produce bird illustrations using techniques such as gouache, acrylic, and colored pencils, applied in educational panels, field guides, books, and artistic products — including framed prints, mugs, and custom items — always aiming to highlight the beauty and importance of native species.
I am the author of the book “Minhas Primeiras Observações – Guia Infantil de Observação de Aves”, aimed at children and young people, designed to encourage early birdwatching practice and appreciation of Brazilian species. I also worked as author and illustrator of the book “Os Sapos Incríveis do Brasil”, a playful and educational work presenting the diversity and curiosities of these fascinating amphibians.
